How to Integrate the Docker Plugin

Introduction

The Docker Plugin integration allows you to monitor Docker container performance, providing detailed metrics and insights.

Follow the steps below to add the Docker Plugin to an existing host and enable monitoring through the Docker Dashboard.

Steps to Add Docker Plugin

Step 1: Navigate to Metrics Integration

  1. Log in to the application.

  2. Navigate to the Integration section by clicking Metrics in the left-side panel.

Step 2: Expand the Containers Section

  1. Locate and expand the Containers section.

  2. Click on Docker Plugin to begin the integration process.

Step 3: Follow Plugin Prerequisites

  1. Click to expand the Plugin Prerequisites section.

  2. Review and complete the prerequisites listed in this section.

Step 4: Plugin Configuration

  1. Download the installation script using the command provided in the Plugin Configuration section.

  2. Assign execution permissions to the script by running the specified command.

Step 5: Plugin Installation

  1. Select a Host:

    1. If the host is not listed, you must first add the Linux Agent.

  2. Execute the Installation Script:

    1. After selecting the host, the system generates an installation script.

    2. Run the script on the target remote server/host.

Step 6: Install the Docker Dashboard

  1. Click the Install Dashboard button in the final step.

  2. This sets up a detailed metrics dashboard, allowing you to monitor Docker container performance effectively.

Step 7: Verify Installation

  1. Navigate to the Metrics Dashboard page.

  2. Confirm that the Docker Dashboard is displayed, indicating successful integration and setup.
