Overview

The Update Alert Notifications section allows users to modify existing contact points for Email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams. Users can update email addresses, Slack Webhook URLs, or Microsoft Teams URLs to ensure alerts are delivered to the correct recipients. Keeping contact points updated helps maintain effective alert communication and prevents notifications from being sent to outdated channels.

Steps to Update Alert Notifications

Step 1: Navigate to the Contact Point Page

  1. Open the Metrics page.

  2. Click on the Contact Point tab to access the list of configured alert notifications.

Step 2: Click on the Edit Icon

  1. In the Action column of the contact point table, locate the alert notification (Email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams) you want to update.

    1. To update the details based on the type:

      1. For Email: Add or remove email addresses.

      2. For Slack: Update the Slack Webhook URL.

      3. For Microsoft Teams: Update the Microsoft Teams Webhook URL.

  2. Click the Edit icon next to the setting type that you want to update.

Step 3: Update Contact Point Details

  1. The Update Contact Point popup will appear.

  2. The Setting Type field (Email, Slack, or Microsoft Teams) will be disabled.

  3. Update the required details based on the type:

    1. For Email: Add or remove email addresses.

    2. For Slack: Update the Slack Webhook URL.

    3. For Microsoft Teams: Update the Microsoft Teams Webhook URL.

Step 4: Save the Changes

  1. Click the Update button to save your changes.
