How to Add a Cloud Connector
This guide outlines the steps to add a cloud connector to your CloudNetra account. By following these instructions, you will be able to link your cloud accounts to CloudNetra.

Navigate to a Cloud Connector
New Users Without Cloud Connectors
Step 1: Access the Dashboard
If you're a new user or have not added any cloud connectors yet, navigate to your Dashboard.
Step 2: Click 'Add Connector'
On the dashboard, click the Add Connector button to begin linking your cloud account.

Existing Users Wanting to Add a New Connector
If you already have connectors and want to add a new one, go to the Integration panel on the left side of the app.
Click on Connector, and you will be directed to the Add Connector page.

Steps to Add Connector
Step 1: Fill in Connector Information
On the Add Connector page, you will find the following fields:
Account Name:
When creating your Cloud Connector, ensure that your AWS Account Name follows a clear and organized naming convention. This will help you easily identify and manage multiple accounts. Consider using a combination of your organization’s name and the environment the account is associated with. Here are some examples:
myorg_dev_env_01 (for a development environment)
myorg_prod_env_02 (for a production environment)
john_aws_prod (personal production account)
jerry_uat_account (for a UAT environment)
Note: The account name must be alphanumeric, may include underscores, and cannot be just numbers.
AWS Account ID:
To find your AWS Account ID, follow these steps:
Log in to your AWS account using this link: AWS Login.
After logging in, navigate to the AWS interface, where you can view your AWS account details.
Copy the AWS Account ID from your account settings.

Step 2: Submit the Information
After entering the required information, click the Submit button to validate the account name and account ID.
Upon successful validation, you will see a message: "Cloud Connector {account_name} successfully added."
After receiving confirmation, click the Next button to proceed with the setup.

Step 3: Proceed to the Next Step (View Connector Information)
On the next screen, you’ll be presented with the following AWS Cloud Connector information:
Click the Next button to continue to the CloudFormation setup process. You may also navigate using the Previous and Cancel buttons if necessary.

Step 4: Proceed to the Next Step (Creating and Verifying an AWS CloudFormation Stack)
Create the CloudFormation Stack
On this wizard page, you will be prompted to create the CloudFormation stack in AWS. To do this:
Click the Create Stack button to generate and download the CloudFormation file.

Step 5: Create Stack in AWS Console
Note: Stack creation is applicable only for the US East (N. Virginia) - us-east-1 region.
Download the CloudFormation Stack: Ensure that you have downloaded the CloudFormation file from CloudNetra.
Open the AWS CloudFormation Console:
Go to the following URL: AWS CloudFormation.
If you aren’t logged in, sign in to your AWS account.
After logging in, the Create Stack page will appear. If not, re-click the link above.
Prerequisite – Prepare Template [See Step 1 in the below screenshot]
In the Prepare template section, select "Choose an existing template".
Specify Template:
Choose the “Upload a template file” option. [See Step 2 in the below screenshot]
Click Choose File and upload the CloudFormation file you downloaded from CloudNetra. [[See Step 3 in the below screenshot]
Proceed to Next Screen [See Step 4 in the below screenshot]
Once the file is uploaded, click the Next button to move forward.
Specify Stack Details
In the Stack name section, enter the name as:
"cn-ce-cloudconnector" (Ensure you use this exact name, as it is required for integration with CloudNetra). [See Step 1 in the below screenshot]
Parameter Section:
Cross-check that everything is configured properly in the Parameter section.
Click the Next button to continue.
Configure Stack Options
Leave the options on this page as default.
Click Next to proceed.
Review Stack and Submit
Review the details of the stack named "cn-ce-cloudconnector".
Capabilities:
In the Capabilities section, tick the checkbox to acknowledge.
Click Submit to finalize the stack creation process.
Monitor Completion
Wait for the CREATE_COMPLETED message in green, which confirms the stack has been successfully created.

Step 6: Verify Integration in CloudNetra
After completing the stack creation in AWS, return to CloudNetra.
Click the Verify button to check if the Cloud Connector has been successfully integrated with AWS.
If the integration is successful, you will see a popup message: "Your AWS Account successfully verified"
After verifying the connection, click on OK to close popup
Click on Next to proceed to the final wizard screen.
Step 7: Finish the Setup
After verifying the connection, click Next to proceed to the final wizard screen.
The wizard will display a Finish screen indicating that the Cloud Connector has been successfully added to CloudNetra.
Step 8: Explore CloudNetra
You can now start visualizing your cloud assets, costs, wastages, compliances, and more in the CloudNetra dashboard.
